Facetron ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following types of information:

1.1 Personal Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and other information you provide.

1.2 User Content: We collect and store the images you upload to our App to provide our services. These images are stored securely in Firebase.

1.3 Subscription Information: We collect and store information about your subscription status to provide access to premium features.

1.4 Device Information: We may collect device information such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer, operating system, and device token for push notifications.

1.5 Usage Information: We collect information about how you use our App, including the features you use and the time spent on the App.

1.6 Face Data: We collect and process images containing faces that you voluntarily upload for AI model training. This data is used solely to create personalized AI models for your use. Face detection is performed locally on your device to validate image quality. Your face data is securely stored in Firebase and shared only with our AI training partner Replicate for the exclusive purpose of creating your personalized model. You can delete your face data at any time, and all face data is automatically deleted 30 days after successful model creation unless you request earlier deletion.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process and manage your subscription
  • Send you notifications about your requests and other important information
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
  • Protect the security and integrity of our App

3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud storage providers, payment processors)
  • Third-party analytics providers to help us understand how users use our App
  • As required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Regarding face data specifically, we share this data only with Replicate, our AI model training partner, for the exclusive purpose of creating your personalized AI model. This sharing is necessary to provide our core service. We have agreements in place requiring these partners to use your data only for the specified purpose and to maintain appropriate security measures.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will delete or anonymize your information upon your request or when it is no longer needed for the purposes collected, unless we are legally required to retain it.

For face data specifically, training images are retained for 30 days after successful model creation to allow for potential retraining or troubleshooting. You can delete your face data at any time through the app, which will remove all associated images from our servers. When you delete your account, all face data is permanently deleted within 7 days.

5. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You can:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal information through your account settings
  • Opt-out of receiving promotional communications
  • Disable push notifications through your device settings
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

9. APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY

In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, we will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's settings.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

For face data, we employ additional security measures including:

  • Secure, encrypted storage in Firebase with strict access controls
  • Secure, encrypted transmission when sharing with our AI training partner
  • Authentication requirements to access your face data
  • Regular security audits and updates to our systems

11. FACE DATA SPECIFIC RIGHTS

In addition to your general privacy rights, you have the following specific rights regarding your face data:

  • The right to delete your face data at any time through the app
  • The right to know what face data we have collected and how it's being used
  • The right to withdraw consent for face data processing at any time
  • The right to request information about third parties with whom your face data has been shared
